Flemington, NJ: On May 18th& 19th the parish of St. Anna Greek Orthodox Church will once again offer Greek Bistro Flemington. The Indoor Dining Event will be in the parish’s Nicholas and Anna Bouras Memorial Hall, 85 Voorhees Corner Road. The event captures Flavors of Greece as offered throughout Greece in traditional bistros, tavernas, and restaurants. It will feature two days of dining on hearty and light fare for lunch, dinner, and in-between.  “The parish of St. Anna is happy to welcome the public to enjoy our hospitality and fellowship, as we offer delicious Greek food from our professional kitchen,” commented Reverend Economos Anastasios Kousoulas, pastor. “Greek Bistro Flemington supports our community outreach and ministry building efforts.”  The creators of the award winning Flemington Opa! Greek Festival have prepared a menu of popular favorites and new items. This year’s menu includes Greek style Roast Pork and Potatoes, “Spetsofai” Sausage and Peppers with Feta, “Roast Chicken “Riganato” & Potatoes, and Souzoukakia” Meatball & Tomato Sauce Sub Sandwich. Traditional favorites also available include “Pastitisio” macaroni casserole, “Spanakopita” phyllo crusted spinach cheese pie, and a large Greek salad entrée. “Guests love our Greek cuisine versions of popular favorites such as meatball subs, roast chicken, and sausage and peppers, ” commented John Kaldes, event chef and Parish Council President. “The bistro style selections are perfect for lunch, dinner, and mid-day enjoyment.”  For dessert, the event introduces a refreshing orange flavored phyllo cake, known as “Portokalopita”. There also will be the popular favorites of “Baklava” walnut and phyllo strudel, and “Galaktoboureko” custard filled phyllo rolls.  A children’s macaroni bowl is also available. Beverages include Greek wine, beer, ouzo, soft drinks, and coffee. Greek listening music will enhance the Greek Bistro experience.

There will be free on-site parking and free admission. Credit cards will be accepted. Proceeds from the event will help support the parish’s many ministries.

​Bistro hours are Saturday, 5/18, Noon-9pm; Sunday 5/19 Noon-7pm.
